The NEW Two and a Half Men
Two and a Half Men has been one of my favorite shows for a long time, but I'm a little skeptical about this new season. In the past seasons the show was based on inner family humor. The relationship between the three males on the show was very unique and Charlie Sheen's characters made the show. Now with season nine just beginning I've found myself being very critical towards the show. Maybe this is because i don't want it to change, but I definitely don't think it is nearly as good as it used to be. It still has it's funny parts and Ashton Kutcher is no doubt a funny character. I'm just not sure his type of humor was right for this show. Ashton has been in tons of movies and tv series and nailed the parts, but this space he is trying to fill now just isn't working. Although they didn't bring Ashton in to fill Charlie Sheen's role, the charter they have created for him has changed the show completely. The original story line and humor isn't there anymore. It's just a whole new show!

How would you describe Ashton Kucher's humor? How is it different?
ReplyDeleteAshton Kutcher displays a silly humor, almost childish. Where as Charlie Sheen brought a lot of adult humor to the show. Ashton's character is seriously still stuck in a child's mind set and although it is funny at times, it is so childish you almost get annoyed and sick of it. Charlie Sheen really became his part in the show and he was effortlessly funny, but Ashton tries to hard and you can tell.
