Father & Son
While watching Waist Deep a lot of things were pointed out to me that i did not notice before, many of the camera views were profile shots and up close shots which showed a lot of feelings and personality. Throughout the movie during action scenes the shot length was very short but there were a lot of shots composed just for 3o seconds of action. Camera panning often happened when there were many people in the room or to build suspense on what was next to come in the picture. During different scenes that were not connected in any way by surroundings music was played to ensure the viewer knew the plots were linked. While on a journey to get his son back Tyrese shows so much emotion that the movie is no longer just a Gangster/Crime film it merged between that and a Drama Film.

Can you talk in more detail about that emotional scene you mention in the end? How was it set up? How did it progress?
