Lately I've been paying more attention to advertisement than i usually do. I've started to notice and pick up on some of the themes and methods advertisers are using. Have you ever noticed how many commercials involve something to do with football during football season? Advertisers try to play on your interests at the time to get you to buy their products. For example: The Allstate car insurance commercial about a ref being chased out of town by fans after a bad call in a football game. Although this will never happen to most of us, the media planner for this company thought that this would catch people's eye because it involves football. Most beer companies also make football the subject of their ads during football season. Many food commercials and ads use football too. Tostidos chips always takes part in this season and Ritz makes football shaped crackers. These commercials may not send you rushing out to the stores to buy the products, but these are the top selling items and brands for fans weekend snacks.
