In Time, is a crime movie that takes place in the future, where time is the currency and everyone stops aging physically at twenty-five. The movie has strong characters and appropriate music. The characters are dynamic, and well developed. The criminals are attractive and relatable, while the cop is tired and judgmental, this leads the audience to favor the criminals. The music enhances the emotions in the movie. Although the movie features successful characters and music, the plot is expected. It is the typical crime movie, with cops, guns, and speeding cars, but the futuristic spin sets this movie apart from other movies in this genre. The sequence of events is so predictable that I made it a game to guess what would happen next. Furthermore, the movie is a cross between the stories of Bonnie and Clyde and Robin Hood. The criminals are an enticing couple that everyone can identify with. Like in Bonnie and Clyde, the audience sides with the criminals, because they are attractive and relatable. Additionally, the movie is similar to Robin Hood, because the criminals steal from the rich to give to the poor. In Time was an okay movie, but the plot should have been a little bit more creative.
Can you say why the plot was so generic without giving too much away?
