Blood Pressure
One of my favorite bands is a band called MuteMath. MuteMath is a American alternative rock band from New Orleans that formed several years ago. The group consists of lead vocalist and keyboardist Paul Meany, Darren King as drummer, Todd Gummerman on guitar, and on bass is Roy Mitchell-Cárdenas. They often perform on any mixture or variation of these instruments, which makes them pretty cool in my opinion. They also just had a concert in Birmingham, AL, which I was unfortunately unable to go to, but from what I hear it was amazing and they're even better live. Anyway, I recently watched one of their music videos for one of their songs called "Blood Pressure," which is a great song. In all of MuteMaths' music videos they have really cool editing processes in how they make the video. For example in one of their videos for a song called "Typical" the entire video is played backwards, but when viewed all the mouth movements for each word fit perfectly with the song. A great video. In the music video for Blood Pressure the camera doesn't move so the location never changes and half of the video is taken in snap shots of each individual. So they may appear to be moving, but it's really choppy and obviously not normal. They also incorporate real time footage of the lead singer along with the single frame shots, which I thought was really neat. The real time footage of the lead singer is a close up of the side of his face from the neck up. This video is really cool I encourage anyone who loves music to check it out Blood Pressure - MUTEMATH
