TLC's My Strange Addiction

"My Strange Addiction" on TLC is about different people who have more than different hobbies & just plain strange addictions. I remember the first time I saw this they had a girl who ate toilet paper, then it was a lady that ate chalk, in their most recent season they turned up the volume way UP! They had this girl who was obsessed with acting, dressing, and basically living like a baby. She had her bed look like a giant crib, she drank out of oversized baby bottles, she even wore footies but the strangest part was how she wore adult diapers! She said it was comforting being able to feel the warmth of your own urine... yah. Now I can see where this would make for "good TV" & possibly just having stuff like this recorded shows human behavior and process of psyche but don't they think about who's going to see this? What if a young child watches this & thinks it's ok... they never have a disclosure saying "Don't try this at home" or at least not for this one. Well just when I thought it couldn't get any worse they had this lady (& it's sad that most of these people are women not that many men) who was obsessed with carrying her recently deceased husband's urn everything she went. She would take him out to lunch, to the movies, to the park, anywhere she went she carried the urn. She would talk to it as if he were alive asking him questions & laughing with the urn. One day as she was cleaning the urn the lid came off & sprinkled some ashes on her hand she was afraid to wash it away so she decided to lick it & now she's addicted to eating his ashes... in my honest opinion TLC has gone bonkers. I could see if the people that appeared on this show shared their story bc they decided to quit their crazy ways but they are getting rewarded for it. I guess the producers tactic is to get people's attention & watching the show other than that I don't think this show has any other purpose or meaning.
