It's a Wonderful Life
It's a Wonderful Life is a classic movie. It was made in 1947 and stars James Stewart (one of my favorite actors) and Donna Reed. I hope everyone has seen this film. I started watching this film when I was young with my father and it has become somewhat of a tradition on our house around the holidays. The story is much like Charles Dickens a Christmas Carol. You have the grumpy man dissatisfied with his life. An angel comes and shows him what life would be like if he were never born. Now, Ebenezer Scrooge did not wish this but he was still shown the past, present, and future. I for one old movies. I find them relaxing and just good clean entertainment. Yes I do crochet most the time when I watch them and get called a grandma, but who cares. It's a Wonderful Life is not filed with any kind of special effects that I can think of. The thing that I love about this movie is the timeless story. James Stewart is given a glimpse of what his life could be and is given a second chance. In the end he is grateful for the blessings he has been given. It is tempting to want to chase after riches and fame, but that is not what life is about. It's all about the relationships and love we have. Like the movie says, "No man is poor who has friends."
