O' Brother Where Art Thou

I had seen this movie once when I was younger, and I didn't really remember what it was about or if it was any good. I recently watched it with a couple of my friends who kept saying it was such a great movie, but I thought to myself that I would've remembered it if it actually was so great. I stayed with them and watched the whole thing, but as I watched I had a mix of feelings towards it. I wasn't sure if I was going to end up liking it because at first it seemed really slow and that it had a dumb plot. At the end of the movie I took that all back because I enjoyed the message of the film and how it was expressed. The actors in the movie did a great job and they made the characters relatable and I grew a connection with them and worried when things weren't going their way. It is compelling how much you can see The Odyssey within this movie. The director did a great job of setting up the story of the Odyssey in his movie, and allowing for the audience to think about the connections. At first this movie seemed like a drag to me, but if you pay attention you can learn a lot from it.
