Everything is A Remix

I stumbled across an incredibly interesting series of videos called "Everything is a Remix." There are 3 parts so far in the series. One about music, one film, and one on the elements of creativity. They can all be watched at http://www.everythingisaremix.info/watch-the-series/. The videos are all very well done and incredibly interesting. The videos are produced by Kirby Ferguson who takes clips from movies and parts of songs to explain the way ideas feed off each other, producing few truly original ideas.  He looks at the evolution of ideas and creativity in a way that links ideas together, making you think, how did I not realize that?  The videos are a thing of creativity themselves, leading the viewer to question each thought one once believed as original.  Although the videos are informational, they are fun and interesting to watch.  The simple idea of remixing something; be it a song, a movie, a painting, into something new is a way of being creative.  On a higher level, it makes me realize how we are all linked.  No one person or idea truly stands alone in this highly evolved world.  If you have never seen these videos, I suggest watching them.  They are eye opening.
