The past week I have been working on my final film project, and trying to gather all of the footage that I need. It is difficult when you do not know that many people, and you have to work through scheduling everyone you need without messing up their schedules. I am enjoying the process of making a film, but have realized the amount of time needed to be put in if you want to create a product that is not a laughable mess. Im working on creating suspense because I know my horror film will rely more on that then it will rely on my actors. It gets difficult to create suspense when you are limited on resources and the difficulty to find places where you can film without interuption. I wanted to film at late night when no one was out, but my actors couldn't be convinced to do that. I had to scratch some of my locations and scenes in my film because people dropped out of the film or I wasn't able to get everyone at the place needed to film. Overall I know I will finish my film, but it won't be up to what I wanted just because of the lack of time and other pressures (finals) that have caused some of my cast to bail.
