This is the last scene (and my favorite scene) in my all time favorite movie: Good Will Hunting
Now that I have taken this class (NC212), I must say, I do look at this scene much differently. Or, maybe not so differently, but by far more observantly. I notice every time the scene cuts. I notice when scenes might not flow that well. Or, not as well as I remember them flowing before having taken this class... I also was continuously drawn to the types of camera movements and shot angles that were included throughout, with a particularly new-found interest in transitional shot decision making. As Robin Williams is reading the letter (OTS), when Affleck is walking to and from the house, as well as all of the around and around the camera goes, trying to keep up with Affleck looking through different windows etc.
Really, from a technical viewpoint, I can say that the very last part of this scene impresses me the most. And it has always impressed me the most, even before this class; not sure what that part means though. Probably just a strong opinion of mine that wasn't easily effected by additional learning/a more technically critical viewing attitude.
Finally, I have to go back to the fact that I still believe this film is my favorite because it has an excellent plot line, and 3+ brilliant actors, with a great supporting staff to tote. And, while I now know that without editors, none of that would have mattered, I do hold fast to the belief that for myself, these things truly do make the most difference in my personal viewing experience.
