The Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides

Okay, to start off, this movie was absolutely atrocious. I apologize if I offend anyone by that statement, but it was completely intolerable. I thoroughly enjoyed the first three in the series and thought it would be the same this go-around; it was not. The first five minutes into the movie I could see that it was not of the same quality as the previous three. Everything seemed to be off, from the camera angles, to the pauses, and most importantly the acting. There were many times when a character would finish speaking and there was a mediocre 'pause' that is usually exhibited when you have amateur editors behind the project. It was almost a joke; I would have laughed had I not been so disgusted that I wasted $5.99 on this pos. Every scene seemed to be rushed through, and I think that is what was wrong with this movie. After about 20 minutes of suffering through it, I turned it off and looked up some information about it. I understand that it is a billion dollar series that is suppose to include 5 or 6 movies, and it all made sense. They apparently rushed through this movie in order to meet either a quota or a deadline, but regardless, they produced trash. It was a disappointment for me having enjoyed the last 3, but I guess that isn't a rare sight in Hollywood--caring more about the moula than the finished product. I kid you not when I say that I could barely sit through 20 minutes of it. I will say they did produce a cool set like they usually do. But i'm sorry, bad acting (or in this case bad editing!) always ruins the production.
